From the beginning of the THEIA and CROSSMARE projects, both consortia have recognised the importance of building strong synergies with other Horizon Europe initiatives addressing European security, maritime surveillance, and Earth Observation.
🛰️ In this context, THEIA and CROSSMARE have initiated a structured collaboration to exchange knowledge, share technical developments, explore common research challenges, and promote joint dissemination activities.
💡 By bringing together complementary expertise in GeoAI, Artificial Intelligence, Earth Observation, multi-source data fusion, and maritime situational awareness, the two projects aim to maximise their scientific, technological, and societal impact while supporting the evolution of next-generation Copernicus Security Services.
📝 The collaboration will also explore opportunities for joint dissemination activities, scientific publications, workshops, and knowledge exchange, contributing to a stronger European ecosystem for security research and innovation.
🌊 CROSSMARE is a Horizon Europe project developing an interoperable maritime surveillance framework that integrates space, air, surface, and underwater domains through AI-powered analytics, multimodal data fusion, and advanced situational awareness technologies to support maritime safety and security operations.
