We are pleased to invite you to the joint AI4COPSEC–THEIA online workshop on “Next-Generation Solutions for Border Security and Crisis Response” taking place on 12 May 2026 from 10:00-11:00 CET. This workshop will bring together key stakeholders from the fields of border security, crisis management, Earth Observation, and Artificial Intelligence to explore how next-generation technologies can enhance situational awareness and support informed decision-making. Over the past decade, the Copernicus programme has significantly strengthened monitoring capabilities across Europe. Building on this foundation, AI4COPSEC and THEIA demonstrate how advanced AI, data fusion, and Earth Observation can further support more responsive and effective operational environments. The workshop will focus on the integration of AI/ML and Earth Observation for security applications, emerging approaches to data fusion and situational awareness, practical insights from ongoing project activities, and an exchange of views with stakeholders on future needs and opportunities.
