THEIA participated in the HaDEA-organised workshop “Artificial Intelligence and Earth Observation: From Innovation to Services”, which brought together key stakeholders from across the European space and research ecosystem. The event focused on the transition of AI-driven Earth Observation solutions from research and innovation into operational services, highlighting both opportunities and challenges in scaling up technologies. Through its contribution, THEIA showcased how GeoAI and multi-source data integration can support advanced Copernicus Security Services, particularly in areas related to crisis management and population displacement. The workshop provided valuable insights into the role of collaborative R&I efforts in accelerating the adoption of AI within Earth Observation, reinforcing THEIA’s position within the evolving EU space and security landscape and strengthening its alignment with European priorities for innovation, resilience, and operational readiness.
